Pakistan Warns of Possible Indian Military Action In Next 36 Hours

Islamabad: Pakistan's Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, has stated that the country possesses credible intelligence suggesting that India is planning a military strike against Pakistan within the next 24 to 36 hours, using the recent Pahalgam attack as a pretext.

This warning comes after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Indian armed forces have been granted "complete operational freedom" to determine the method, targets, and timing of their response to the Pahalgam incident.

In an official statement issued on Tuesday, Minister Tarar strongly rejected what he described as India’s attempt to assume the roles of "plaintiff, judge, and executioner" in the region. He emphasized that Pakistan has endured terrorism for over two decades and continues to condemn all forms of terrorism unequivocally.

He further noted that, as a responsible state, Pakistan had offered to facilitate an independent and impartial investigation into the Pahalgam attack. However, he expressed regret that India had instead chosen a path of "irrationality and confrontation," which, he warned, could have disastrous consequences for the region and beyond.

The minister made it clear that any form of Indian military aggression would be met with a "definite and decisive" response. He also urged the international community to recognize the grave risks associated with war, stressing that any resulting devastation would be solely India’s responsibility.
